Hilton Double or Triple Points Promotion

Hilton just recently launched their Summer/Fall promotion for 2013 which includes double or triple Hilton points depending on the day of the week of your stay:

• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights: Earn triple points
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights: Earn double points

This promotion runs July 9 through September 30, 2013. This promotion is only valid for eligible stays between July 9 and September 30, 2013. Eligible stays means paid reservations booked directly with Hilton, not those using a third party booking reservation system (i.e., Hotels.com, Travelocity, etc.). Hilton has inflated their points so much over the past 6 months that bonus points are much needed to make the points earned worth anything. This promotion is just okay, although seems to be the norm with Hilton for the past few years. Currently, the other hotels aren’t having any great promotion either, so I’d suggest staying based on the actual hotel vs. the chain it belongs to – assuming you do not have status nor are trying to earn status.

If your stay includes a weekday and a weeknight you will receive double points for the nights that fall M-Th and triple points for the nights that fall F-Su. Hilton will take an average nightly rate of your entire stay to determine the hotel amount for the double points vs. triple points.

Like all other Hilton promotions, some hotels have decided to opt out of the promotion and you will NOT receive the double or triple points at those included on this list. Make sure to check out this list so you are not disappointed later on. Unfortunately, there are a decent number of hotels that are excluded. Also, you MUST register for this promotion prior to checking out of your stay. Hilton will not retroactively give you points for prior stays within the promotional time frame.
