Hilton just launched a promotion for stays between Sept. 9, 2019 and Jan. 5, 2020 where you can earn either 2x or 3x bonus points on all eligible stays. There is no maximum to the number of points you can earn and all properties are eligible — both are great components to the promo. You must register for this promotion PRIOR to checking out of your room. Just register now.
- Earn 2x points on all stays
- Earn 3x points on all stays paid for with a Hilton Honors American Express Credit Card
Depending on the credit card and status you have, you can actually earn 54 points per dollar earned. Assuming a $300 stay, this is a total of 16,200 points on a single stay — not too shabby!
The Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express will actually earn you the most points on your stay at 14x per dollar spent. Both the Hilton Honors Surpass Card from American Express and The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card earns 12x points per dollar spent. Then the Hilton Honors Card from American Express earns 7x points per dollar spent.
Overall…
For those of you who have expensive stays coming up or travel often for business, this is by far one of the better promotions compared to the other hotel chains. If you do not have one of the Hilton co-branded credit cards, this is also a great time to think about getting one since the increased limited time offers are ending tomorrow, August 28, 2019! Also, all credit cards come with some sort of automatic status allowing you to even increase the number of points you earn. The Aspire card gives you automatic Diamond status (100% bonus), the Surpass and Business cards come with Gold status (80% bonus), while the regular card with no annual fee grants you Silver status (20% bonus).
For those with upcoming Hilton stays, enjoy your increased bonus points. They truly will add up and will allow you to put those points to good use on an upcoming Hilton vacation!
