Last month, Hyatt launched a new promotion where if you spend $500 in certain spend categories, you’d receive a $25 statement — one statement credit allowed in November and another allowed in December, for a total of $50 back. Now that today is the last day of the month, you have until end of day today to meet that $500 spend threshold to trigger the first $25 statement credit. You also must register for the promotion by end of day today to be eligible for both the November AND December statement credit offer.

  • Between November 1 and November 30: Spend $500 in total on with Telecomm (internet, phone, cable services), shipping, movie theaters, and grocery stores in the U.S. with either of the Hyatt credit card and earn a $25 statement credit.
  • Between December 1 and December 31: Spend $500 in total on with Telecomm (internet, phone, cable services), shipping, movie theaters, and grocery stores in the U.S. with either of the Hyatt credit card and earn an additional $25 statement credit.

While spending $500 in a single month on certain categories can be a lot, grocery stores are included for this month! So if you have yet to meet the mark, go to your grocery store and purchase some store gift cards to use over the next few months.

I recommend everyone registering for this promotion regardless if you think you’ll be able to spend the $500 or not. You need to register by November 30, 2018 for both the November and December offer and you do not want to be kicking yourself later on that you forgot to register!

The problem is, 4x pts on Amex Gold for $500 is worth more than $25 + 1x Hyatt point to me since I use them for only certain redemptions.

Do you know if they classify Costco as a grocery store?
