Hyatt just announced their quarterly promotion which they’ve been hyping up as one of the best promotions ever. And I’d absolutely have to disagree! It is by no means even close to a great quarterly promotion and on par with what they’ve offered over the past few years. The best promotions were between 2002 and 2010 when they offered a free night after every two stays – it was AMAZING! But those days are over and instead we are given sub-par promotions. But I guess something is better than nothing!
So… here it is. There are a few different targeted offers and while none of them are great, some are better than others based on your upcoming stays.
The promotion runs January 15 through April 30, 2015. The offers include:
- Up to 50,000 points:
- Stay 5 nights, earn 5,000 points total
- Stay 10 nights, earn 15,000 points total
- Stay 15 nights, earn 30,000 points total
- Stay 20 nights, earn 50,000 points total
- Up to 65,000 points:
- Stay 15 nights, earn 30,000 points total
- Stay 20 nights, earn 45,000 points total
- Stay 25 nights, earn 65,000 points total
- Earn 2,000 points after your first stay, maxed at 1Â stay
- Earn 5,000 points after your second night, maxed at 2Â nights
- Earn 20,000 points after 10 nights
Now, you must register for the promotion to see your targeted offer. But, via the blog Chasing the Points I saw that you might be able to register for the promotion of your choice by altering the sign up link. So, if you want to take advantage of a specific offer, type in this URL:
- Up to 50,000 points offer: http://hyatt.com/content/partnerlandingpage/en/50KSTAY20B.html?gpNumber=[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]&_requestid=339824
- Up to 65,000 points offer:Â http://hyatt.com/content/partnerlandingpage/en/65KSTAY25.html?gpNumber=[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]&_requestid=339824
- Earn 2,000 points offer:Â http://hyatt.com/content/partnerlandingpage/en/2KSTAY1B.html?gpNumber=[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]&_requestid=339470
- Earn 5,000 points offer:Â http://hyatt.com/content/partnerlandingpage/en/5KSTAY2.html?gpNumber=[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]&_requestid=339470
- 20,000 points offer:Â http://hyatt.com/content/partnerlandingpage/en/20KSTAY10.html?gpNumber=[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]&_requestid=339470
Where it states “[YOUR GOLD PASSPORT NUMBER]”, just enter your Hyatt Gold Passport number in it’s place (and delete the [ ] as well). Â I personally did not try this myself as I had already registered prior to reading the linked post.
I personally was registered for the stay once and get 2,000 points. I am not quite sure when earning 2,000 points qualifies as the “best promotion yet”, but for my needs it works. My upcoming Hyatt stays are booked with points so those stays will not qualify anyways, and I do not have any known Hyatt stays over the next few months anyways. So for me personally, this is better as I will not be hitting 25+ nights.
