The Ikon Ski pass is a great opportunity to ski at select ski resorts for less this winter. With 41 resorts included in the pass it could definitely be a deal for the right skiing family.
If you are still in the market for the pass and have yet to make the purchase, today could be the best day to grab the Ikon Pass. Amazon is selling the Ikon Pass for the regular $1,099 price, but you’ll also get a $150 Amazon gift card. This is part of their deal-a-day offer and I expect it to sell out. I personally consider Amazon equivalent to cash, so this is like purchasing the pass for just $949. After taking into consideration the Amazon gift card, you are essentially purchasing the pass for the same exact price when it initially went on sale earlier this year. UPDATE: This discount is no longer available.Â
With this particular pass you’ll receive unlimited skiing with no blackout dates to 14 ski resorts. This includes access to Steamboat, Winter Park, Copper, Eldora, Squaw Valley, Mammoth, June Mountain, Big Bear, Stratton, Snowshoe, Crystal Mountain, Tremblant, Blue Mountain and Solitude. You’ll then receive 7 days to 26 additional ski resorts with no blackout dates.
This pass works out well if you need the unrestricted access. If you’ll be skiing on more off-peak dates, you might find that the Ikon Pass Base works better. This particular pass does not have any Amazon deal tied to it, but it will still cost you significantly less at just $799. With this pass you’ll receive unlimited, restricted access to 12 mountains and then 5 restricted days to 28 additional ski resorts.
Both passes can be purchased via Amazon and you can apply any Amazon gift cards you have to the order which is awesome. This means if you are able to purchase Amazon gift cards at a discount or at an office supply store with a credit card that earns you 5x points, this is another way to get the pass for even less. Additionally, if you were targeted for any of these Amazon promotions, you can apply the credits or discounts to your purchase for an even bigger savings.
Overall…
If skiing is in your plans for this winter, this is a great way to save money at some amazing ski resorts. Getting a deal on the Ikon Pass is rare, so getting a $150 gift card is a great opportunity.
