A few years ago JetBlue and AA partnered up to allow the purchase of interline flights on the other carrier. And on some routes (which were limited), you were able to credit your miles while flying on one airline to the other.
Unfortunately, as of last week, JetBlue and AA severed their partnership and you will no longer be able to purchase flights that include both a JetBlue and American Airlines itinerary. This was valuable for those in a JetBlue area to fly internationally. For example, you could fly out of Burlington, Vermont on JetBlue and connect to an American Airlines operated flight to an international destination.
Additionally, starting April 1, 2014, you will not be able to credit your flown miles from one airline to the other.
For most, this will not be a huge change, but I am sure there are some folks that frequently benefited from this partnership.
