JetBlue Mystery Code Update – $50 off each one way flight for all!

UPDATE: The $50 reusable codes can now only be used on roundtrip flights. If you are booking a one-way they will discount $25 each way, which still isn’t bad! Here is the updated post.

This morning I posted how JetBlue is sending out targeted emails for unique coupon codes up to $300, which is awesome!! After much investigation and talking to folks, the $20, $30, and $50 codes are in fact generic and can be used multiple times. I am still trying to figure out if the $75 codes are unique, but as of now I am not sure. It seems as though the 8-digit codes are generic, while the 10-digit codes are unique. If you received a 10-digit code congrats! The only way to know the discount you received is to make a mock reservation. Also, if you didn’t receive an email this morning, recheck, as I personally just received my email from JetBlue about half an hour ago.

The great thing about this promotion is that this is for one-way or roundtrip flights. That means you can use the $50 off promo on both segments getting a total of $100 off your roundtrip flight! You will just have two confirmation numbers, which means they’ll be treated as separate itineraries if you need to cancel/change your flight so keep that in mind. Also remember, you can always cancel your flight 24 hours after it is booked, so if you aren’t sure, go ahead and book and decide tomorrow morning if it works for you!

  • $20 off code: 56DB2A24
  • $30 off code: 3QK3F4W2
  • $50 off code: 8W2DQ3S4

Again, here are the terms:

  • Enter promo code from email exactly as it appears (case sensitive)
  • Book by 11:59 PM ET on September 14, 2012
  • Travel now through November 7, 2012
  • Valid from U.S. point of origin only (including Puerto Rico)
  • One-time use only, cannot be combined with other offers, no partial redemptions
  • Not valid on previous bookings

How to book:

  • Promo codes can only be redeemed online at jetblue.com/promo
  • Search flights for travel through 11/7/12
  • Both outbound and return dates must fall within offer period (9/14-11/7/12) in order for discount to apply
  • You must select flights in order for discount to appear. Once selected you will see the discount amount displayed in the itinerary subtotal on the right side of the flights page
Also, I’ve receive a few promo codes from folks who won’t be using them. If you have any you won’t be using and want me to give them out another blog reader let me know!

Planning to book two one-ways using the $50 code–thanks for posting, since mine was only $30!

if you have one or two worth more than that, I’d happily take them off your hands 😉

Thanks for managing the trade!

I posted an entry in my blog earlier today, but if you play your cards right with the $50 code, you can actually score roundtrip tickets for as low as $14! I did SFO to LGB (Long Beach in Southern California) for $7 each way. Just be creative and think about popular short-haul destinations that are normally low priced anyway!

Do you know if the 24 hour cancellation will be refunded as credit back to the credit card used to purchase the flight, or will it be refunded as JetBlue points?

@Jennifer – The 24 hour cancellation policy still exists. If you cancel within 24 hours the amount you paid out of pocket will get credited back to your credit card.

JetBlue caught it and changed $50 dollar off code to $25 off.

Next time!

They updated their website – 1) increased prices of fares from when I checked this morning 2) made it so you have to book a round trip flight to redeem the entire $50 value. So if you book one way, it’ll only take $25 off.

To dealswelike:

We cancelled 4 o/w tickets (well within 24 hrs) and they did not refund back onto our CC’s. They instead gave us Jet Blue travel bank credits. ($280 total for 4 tickets). We used the $30 promo codes for our o/w trips.

Maybe there is a way to instead get refunds to the credit cards. Do we need to call JB as the they gave us travel credits instead?

Travel credits is not the end of the world as LGB is alot more convenient than LAX/SNA since we live <3 miles from LGB. We are having to make min spends on our CC's but refunds are alot better.

@chemist661 – The terms from JetBlue are: “Customers will have 24 hours from the time of booking to cancel their reservation without being charged a cancellation fee if travel was booked seven (7) days or more prior to the departure date. Not applicable for Getaways reservations.” If your flight was booked for a date 7+ days then you absolutely should receive the amount back to your credit card! If it was less than 7 days then a travel credit. Sorry I did not specify this in the post. If it was 7+ days, absolutely call JetBlue or write a letter to complain.

Also, thanks for the appreciation of the post! More deals to come to help everyone!
