For those of you who live in the New York area you are well aware that getting to Cape Cod in a timely manner is near impossible. If going over the summer, traffic is horrible, and there is no direct flight, train, or bus!
Well luckily, JetBlue is starting a seasonal service from JFK to Hyannis. I am super excited about this as I plan on going to the Cape quite often this summer for Baby Deals to visit Grandma and Grandpa… and enjoy the beach!
This seasonal service will start June 26th and go through September 9th. Flight costs start at $79 and are obviously more expensive on Fridays, Sundays, and holidays. There will be one flight a day in both direction – JFK to Hyannis will depart at 11:59am and Hyannis to JFK will depart at 1:45pm. The flight is about an hour long! I personally wish the flight times were slightly better, such as at 6pm flight from JFK to Hyannis (to allow for an after work flight) and a return from Hyannis around 7-8pm at night to allow for a full day on the beach!
For those looking to go all the way down to Provincetown or Truro area, Hyannis is actually quite far and your best bet might be  taking the train (or a flight) to Boston and then the ferry to Provincetown. However, for those that are looking to vacation not far from the bridge or before hitting the elbow, Hyannis can be quite convenient. It can also help you avoid bridge traffic!
I personally hope this seasonal route will stick around year after year!

Flight times absolutely suck
