Silvercars extended Black Friday promotion is ending today where you can receive 40% off all car rental reservations through December 20, 2017. Enter code SILVERSALE if it does not auto-populate. You can check out prices and make a reservation here.
The unique thing about Silvercar is that you are renting one type of vehicle, a Audi A4’s. Renting a car with them is seamless as there is no paperwork to fill out (you complete your profile ahead of time), an employee will pick you up and drop you off at the airport – no car rental shuttles. Currently, Silvercar is at the following airports locations: Austin, Chicago, Dallas Love Field, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Miami South Beach, Newark, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Orlando, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Silvercar is competing in the high end car rental market and while their rates are definitely more expensive, you are essentially paying more for the experience and convenience. Although many times with a high discount, you’ll find the prices to be competitive. For me personally, I typically will only pay a slight premium for that, but it all depends on how you like to roll! Where I really see value is if you are looking for a one day rental. If you are new to Silvercar, after you complete first rental you’ll get $25 back from Silvercar – within 24 hours after you complete the reservation you’ll receive an email from Silvercar and will be paid $25 via a gift card. To receive this credit you must sign up through – use referral code JROTH for my referral (thanks in advance). For example, I picked a random date in Austin for a one day rental and with taxes and fees it will cost $46.13. If you then take into consideration the $25 gift card you’ll receive (if you are a first time renter), this brings the cost down to $21.13 – an incredibly low price for a one day rental regardless of the type of car and service you are getting!
Overall, a nice way to save money on a car rental if you were going to rent with Silvercar anyways. If you are comparing the rates against another car rental company, i.e., Avis, Budget, etc. you’ll typically find Silvercar to be much more expensive, but it really depends on the location and what you are looking for.
