This is a quick reminder that if you have Jetsetter credits or gift cards you should try to use them now! Last week I found out that the Jetsetter site (3rd party hotel booking site for those wondering what the heck Jetsetter is) is fully revamping their site. While you can no longer book hotels directly through Jetsetter online, their app still works. From the customer service rep I spoke to, the app change gears at some point between August 15th and August 20th. As of writing this post, it still works, but that could end any day. No idea. And the rep wasn’t sure herself of the exact date.

I reached out to my contact at Jetsetter directly and was told the following about the future of Jetsetter:

“Jetsetter helps in the know, discerning travelers plan their perfect trip and have amazing travel experiences. With insider tips, destination inspiration, expert hotel recommendations, and beautiful glossy imagery, we help you dream about your next vacation—and then make it a reality.

Now we’re hoping to make the hotel shopping experience even better with a new feature that allows travelers to compare hotel rates from a number of trusted booking partners, so they can make sure they always get the best price on hotels.

As a result of this change, we’re no longer offering bookings directly through Jetsetter. Current bookings are still confirmed and we’re working with those who have credits that were purchased to transition them to alternatives of equal value. Jetsetters with these types of credits should have received an email about their balance and transition, and if not can contact support@jetsetter.com.”

I had approximately $500 of credits/gift cards and no one from the support team ever reached out. Apparently they also sent emails back in July about this change, but I never received one. Hopefully you are all able to use your credits! I just used mine to book a night at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun and am using my Hyatt points for the rest of the nights!
