Make Money by Getting YOUR Friends to Sign Up for Shopping Portals

There are MANY MANY shopping portals available and most of them offer a referral bonus when you get your friends or family to sign up through YOUR link. First off… if you have no idea what an online shopping portal is, here is my quick explanation:

“It is an online website that you go to first when you are looking to purchase an item online. From the shopping portal, you’ll search for the desired store you are looking to make the purchase at (i.e., Gap, Macy’s, REI, 1-800-FLOWERS, etc.) and you will then be taken directly to the merchants website. You’ll then continue to shop at that merchant the same exact was as if you went to the site first. Your purchase is tracked in the background and you’ll then earn points, miles, or cash back (depending on the site used) for your purchase. There is absolutely no reason not to earn these extra points/miles or free money! It literally takes an extra minute of your time.”

Many of the sites will PAY YOU just for simply referring your friends. You can use email, social media, etc. to get your friends to sign up. Many people do not even know that these sites exist and that they can earn something from making a purchase online, so you might as well spread the word and get something in return!

Sites that will pay you for referring friends…

• TopCashBack: For a limited time through February 10, 2016, the referrer will earn a $20.16 bonus for every friend referred. However, the referrer will not receive the bonus until the person being referred earns at least $10 in cash back. Typically, the referral bonus is $10 cash back. TopCashBack also allows every member in the household to have their own TopCashBack account. So feel free to refer your spouse, partner, children, parents, etc. and it can be a win-win for the entire household. • BeFrugal: While the referrer gets $10, the person being referred also gets a $10 bonus! This is a nice win-win for both people. The person being referred gets the sign up bonus just for creating an account, but the referrer will not get the bonus until their referral earns $25 in cash back within 90 days of account creation. To earn that much cash back you need to be shopping a decent amount online. If you assume an average of 4% cash back, that means over $600 in purchases in 3 months. • Ebates: While there is no referral bonus for a new member signing up, there is a nice offer for those wanting to refer others. You’ll earn a $25 bonus after your first, second, and third referral. You’ll then earn $5 per referral thereafter and then additional tier bonuses. So if you are big on social media try to get as many of your friends to sign up. Of course, Ebates is only worth it if their portal is paying the most cash back. And at times it does. My referral link for anyone interested.

• iConsumer: For every friend you refer (and after they make their first purchase through the portal), you’ll earn a $10 bonus and 100 shares. Your friend will earn 100 shares just by signing up, regardless if they shop through the portal or not. This current offers goes through February 14, 2016. This is a newish portal and has been offering some attractive cash back opportunities to get their name out there. Also, this portal is giving out cash back + shares for every purchase made through the portal. Since the company is still private, you are given an equal amount of cash back earned in company stock (at its current value). Similar to some of the other shopping portals, you cannot “cash out” until you have earned at least $25 as cash back. My referral link for anyone interested

Overall, a sign up bonus is nice, but still make sure you are getting the best payout for your online purchases. I usually start at the site EVRewards to compare payouts, but it is not always 100% accurate and doesn’t include TopCashBack.com.
