Starwood just added their 36th airline transfer partner – Avianca LifeMiles. With this partnership you can now transfer your points at a 1:1 ratio and just like all other partner transfers, for every 20,000 points you transfer, you’ll receive a 5,000 point bonus.

Also, to kick off the partnership, you’ll receive double SPG points for all stays at participating properties in Latin America and the Caribbean. This promotion runs between September 15 and December 15, 2016.

Typically you can purchase LifeMiles relatively cheap so you most likely won’t get the best value by transferring your points over, but it is always nice to have another option.

Am I reading the fine print correctly, however, that there is no language preventing those who have previously signed up for the card from getting this bonus?
