As I am sure you are already aware, US Airways joined the OneWorld Alliance yesterday. This means that you can now use your British Airways Avios points on US Airways flights! And if you’ve been following this blog for awhile, you are also probably aware that using your British Airways Avios points is based on the number of miles for each segment of the flight – so non-stop flights are much better redemption opportunities than those with a layover. You can read more about the British Airways Avios program in this prior blog series.
Since I am based on the Northeast, I wanted to figure out new routes where I can use my Avios points domestically. I am personally exciting about the new option of LGA to both Boston and Washington, DC.
This list includes those airports that serve New York City and the surrounding area, Boston and the surrounding area, Connecticut, Vermont, and Maine. Keep in mind that the number of Avios listed is for a one-way non-stop flight in economy.

Boston is really making out on this as they currently have no American Airlines direct flights to the Caribbean/Mexico. While the US Airways routes from Boston to four warm vacation destinations do not depart every day of the week, it is great to now have this option for only 10,000 Avios points each way!
There are still some gaps in the British Airways system of uploading all the US Airways flights, but domestic flights are readily available for point reservations!
Enjoy!

any newark to carribean/mexico flights?
@hdawg – no direct flights
this is awesome, i am from NYC, so was waiting for someone from boardingarea to post this
Dansdeals has 102 NYC direct flights with ba.
@Ken – These are just the new routes added because of US Airways. There are many more routes on American Airline operated flights.
does the ba site show these when you search for awards? i cannot find anything for US airways on the west coast.
@dinktravel – You do not specify US Airways in your search on BA.
Glad to hear there are gaps with uploading some flights. I have been awaiting clt-bdl and I haven’t found since usair available on ba. It has been so frustrating for just 2 days when saver awards available on both aa and usair.
