NYC Restaurant Week is back from January 14th to February 8th. Prices have gone up from last year with lunches at a fixed price of $25 and dinners at a fixed price of $38 (in the past, lunch has been $23 and dinner $35). You can check out all the participating restaurants here and even view the menu for many of them. As always, Saturdays are excluded.
I personally seldom take advantage of Restaurant Week as I find that many of the restaurants have an extremely limited menu and I typically do not need a three course meal either. I’d rather just go to that restaurant and order the entree I desire. I did, however, take advantage of lunch last year when the British Airways credit card was offering a $50 statement credit at Michelin rated restaurants – let’s hope they do that again this year!
NYC Broadway and Off Broadway 2-for-1 Week is going on from January 22nd to February 7th (Broadway Shows) and January 28th to February 10th (Off Broadway Shows). Almost all Broadway and Off Broadway Shows are participating, but many have excluded some dates (particularly Saturdays) and have limited seats. You can check out the participating Broadway Shows and Off Broadway Shows. Follow the directions for each show to find out the specific discount code you need to enter. I found that the dark blue dots on the seat map are the seats that include the 2-for-1 discount. You will still need to pay the facility fee per ticket though.
Enjoy!

We review Restaurant Week every season. We have a love/hate relationship with it, but if you know where to go, it can be a great way to check out a restaurant that would normally cost much more.
