I was recently made aware of the hotel site Pruvo that constantly checks hotel prices for you on a reservation you’ve already booked. For those that have used Autoslash in the past for car rentals, Pruvo works in a similar fashion but for hotel bookings.
Process to find a cheaper hotel reservation:
- Once you make a hotel reservation send your confirmation email to Pruvo. You’ll then receive an email from Purvo letting them know that they have entered your reservation in the system and that they are tracking your reservation.                 Â
                                  Â
- Once Pruvo finds you a lower price for the same hotel, they’ll send you an email letting you know. The email will also tell how much you can save.
- You’ll go into the Pruvo site and they’ll direct you to where you can re-book at the lower price. Pruvo will NOT automatically re-book you a reservation, you’ll need to manually do it yourself.
You’ll then be reminded to cancel your old reservation.Ultimately, there is no harm in sending Pruvo every single hotel reservation you make and wait to see if they find something lower. They’ll check for refundable reservations only up until 7 days prior to check-in and then within that one week window send both refundable and non-refundable options. You can also change your settings to receive non-refundable options earlier if you prefer.Â
Has anyone ever used this site? Have they saved you money?

Used this website 1 week ago and save 126$ off my reservation and their customer support is awesome.
I’ve submitted a bunch of reservations in the past, but they’ve never come back with anything worthwhile. I’m not sure if that’s because the initial deals I find are so good, or if their service is just weak. Would be curious to hear of others experiences.
I used this Plataform last month in my trip to El Salvador and it was great! PRUVO Saved me 27% on my hotel reservation in Plaza Hotel and Suites San Salvador.
Why wait for the hotel price to drop? Waylo uses AI to predict these price drops and allows you to book it before the price drop actually happens.
I prefer to book after the price drops personally… but no AI for that I guess.
We do alert you when it’s the right time to book if you prefer to wait.
If you know the price will drop, why would you book it before that happens?
@Mdr – If you do not want to check every site every single day.
To make sure you have a reservation. If the price drops thats great, but at least you know you’re not going to be without a room.
The reservation is always guaranteed. If the price doesn’t drop, we cover it. The biggest advantage of knowing which hotels will drop in price is that it can affect your booking choices.
For example, for a random date 3 weeks out, Hilton Montreal is US$ 200/night whereas Ritz Carlton is $350/night. We predict that Hilton will drop to US$ 150/night whereas the Ritz will drop to US$ 200/night. You can now start considering the Ritz and book it today at $200.
I tried Waylo last night. The whole site is very confusing and doesn’t seem fully baked. My interactions with the Messenger bot were less than enlightening. I think Waylo has a ways to go before it’s even close to useful. I wish them the best of luck though.
Really appreciate your feedback. Conversational interfaces are hard. We started out with a Messenger bot as that allows us to iterate quicker and we believe conversational interface is the future.
However, based on the feedback and dismal experience for users, we are currently testing a web version.
