As part of Delta’s “5 days of deals” they are offering a $25 free gift card to Hotels.com when you purchase a $250 Delta Gift card. This is very similar to the Black Friday bonus gift card offer they ran, but instead of an AirBnB gift card, they are offering a Hotels.com gift card.
To really maximize this offer, you might be able to double dip with the Delta Amex Offer. Originally I did not think gift card purchases would trigger the statement credit, but I’ve read a few reports stating otherwise. With the Amex Offer if you make a $300+ transaction, you’ll receive a $60 statement credit. That means you can supposedly purchase a $300 Delta gift card for only $240 and get a $25 Hotels.com bonus on top of it — not a bad deal for those that fly Delta often! This Amex Offer is widely available so if you go to your AmericanExpress.com account you should see it appear. Feel free to comment below with your success (or failure!) with getting the statement credit with a Delta gift card purchase.
