Purchase Hilton Honors Points with a 100% Bonus

Through May 28, 2019, you can purchase Hilton Honors points with a 100% bonus. This is actually one of the better promotions as it only requires you to purchase a minimum of 5,000 points to receive the bonus and receiving this high of a bonus usually only happens a few times a year. With that being said, I do not suggest speculatively purchasing points without a redemption in mind and absolutely do the math to see if purchasing points will actually save you money.

As previously mentioned, this offer is good for some, but I suggest checking out to see if the cost of purchasing points for a redemption is cheaper then paying cash at the hotel. With this promotion you are buying points at .5 cents per point. And remember, if you have Hilton status (Silver, Gold, or Diamond) you get the 5th night free on an award redemptions. You can learn more about earning status from this prior blog post — all Hilton credit cards also give you status as long as you are a cardmember!

I personally do not have a specific Hilton redemption in mind so I will be sitting this one out. But for those who are looking to stay at a Hilton in the near future, this could potentially be a great opportunity to stay for less. Especially at some extremely aspirational and expensive properties, such as the Conrad Maldives!
