For those that are taking advantage of the IHG “Surprise” promotion, this is a quick reminder that you must send in your 3×5 cards TODAY! Although the promotion sends that they most be postmarked by February 15, 2016, note that Monday is a holiday so no mail pick up. That means any cards put into the mail after last mail pick up today will not be postmarked until February 16th and thus be marked ineligible.
I know many people spent hours writing out their 94 notecards so I’d hate to see you be a day late with postage. Gooduck to all that have played. And for those that are still waiting for their emails to come through, be patient. There is a massive backlog I assume.

Sent mine in two batches in November (10 and then 84). Finally received the final 78 game plays yesterday morning… so you definitely need to be patient. 2 x 2000, 3 x 1000, 87 x 500, and 2 zeros (50,500 total). The zeros did come after I maxed the 5 category B prizes which was expected based on other reports. Sent the remainder of my wife’s yesterday so lets see if I see the game plays before summer 😉
A mail meter in my office will date it on Monday – that would count – right?
Monday is a postal holiday, unless there’s a post office near you that’s open today it might be too late…
No because Monday is NOT a mail day and office meters must date them on postal days, the day the mail is deposited at the post office! Not the day the mail is metered.
I wish I had seen this post a few days ago. This afternoon it dawned on me that tomorrow is a national holiday and hence no mail. Seems none of the other hawker bloggers realized or mentioned this. Kudos for a very astute and helpful notification!
@Tim – Thanks for the kind words.
I finally received most of my emails; 55 of them all at once for a grand total of 84 emails and 47,000 points! Thanks for letting all of us know about this promotion and reading the instructions to make ot easier to understand. Thanks thanks!
