Radisson just announced a new promotion where you will receive one free night after one paid stay. When I first saw this I was hoping for another 50,000 free point promotion where points can be redeemed anywhere (like they’ve had twice in the past 12 months), but no luck. While not as good as the last promotion, this is still a great promotion for those that want to stay at a Radisson or Radisson Blu property in the US, Canada, or the Caribbean.
Promotion terms: Book a stay at any Radisson or Radisson Blu hotel in the US, Canada, or Caribbean by October 31 for travel through December 31, 2012. You must first register for the promotion and book your stay at radisson.com. Unfortunately, per the terms of the promotion, only stays booked starting today, October 1 will qualify. If you have an existing stay during this time frame and the rate has not increased, I’d suggest canceling and rebooking. The good thing is though, is that almost all rates qualify – that includes AAA, prepaid rates, corporate rates, etc. Rates that do not qualify are those that do not earn Club Carlson points, such as employee rates, friends and family rates, rates booked through a third party booking site, travel agent rates, etc.
After your qualifying stay, you will then receive a free night certificate (within 14 days) which will be valid for reservations at any Radisson Blu or Radisson hotel in the US, Canada, or the Caribbean through December 31, 2013. The free night certificate will be linked to your account and will allow you to book your reservation online. This is limited to one free night per account.
This promotion is ONLY valid to the first 50,000 people, so register NOW! Check rates and book your stay here. Also try using promotion code “30PCTOFF” for stays through October 9.
My thoughts: I am personally not a huge fan of Radisson properties in the US, and with the last two promotions my goal is to redeem those points at international properties. If I partake in this promotion, it will be to redeem my free nights either in Chicago (at the new Radisson Blu location), in New York City (for my family since rates are so expensive), or one of the two Caribbean resorts (in Aruba or St. Martin). You can look at all the US, Canada, and Caribbean destinations on this interactive map. Make sure to just search for Radisson and Radisson Blu properties.
You can also take advantage of their Fall promotion which is offering:
- 2,000 bonus points per night when you stay one to five nights
- 4,000 bonus points per night when you stay six to nine nights
- 6,000 bonus points per night when you stay 10 to 20 nights
Thanks to Will Run for Miles for sharing this promotion!

How do I get proof that I registered? No email. They were not able to look it up when I called.
@Ti – This is the same issue they’ve been having for the past two promotions. No confirmation email and the representatives do not see if. Try re-registering and if it tells you you have already registered then you are good!
This seems just as good as the big night giveaway since it says you can earn and redeem at any radisson. You could earn at a low rate and redeem an expensive night.
@JI100 – Correct, you just can’t redeem at Radissons outside the US, Caribbean, and Canada. With the big night giveaway you could and actually use your points anywhere, including Country Inn & Suites, etc.
How can you tell in advance whether an Award Night is available? It says the rate will appear as ‘0 Gold Points’ which leads me to believe that there has to be a Gold Points rate…which the ones in NYC and Chicago rarely have.
You may not actually have to stay to the hotel. Call and ask. I actually did receive confirmation emails during the last promos. When I registered for this one, I took a screenshot of the confirmation page for good measure.
Can I use points to pay for my qualifying stay ?
and still earn my free night …
@ed – Unfortunately free nights using points will not count. However, in the past stays using the cash & points option have counted since you still earn points on the cash portion paid.
I second what TK said. Are these going to be impossible to redeem at nice properties?
@Michael A – I really do not know. My educated guess is that as long as the room is available for points, then it will be available for the certificate. I’ll do some digging and see what I find.
[…] Radisson has introduced another “stay 1, get 1″ promotion. The terms are not as great as the past two promotions, but this is still a great way to get free hotel nights at Radisson and Radisson Blu properties in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. Registration is limited, so do not delay. […]
