A Really Good Credit Card Offer for the No Annual Fee Hilton Card!

This post may contain affiliate links from our advertising partners. Read my Advertiser Disclosure policy here. Additionally, some of the offers on this page may no longer be available through Deals We Like.

UPDATE: This offer has expired.

Last week I wrote about a fabulous increased offer regarding the Hilton Surpass American Express card, but I also want to let you know that the no annual fee card, the Hilton Honors™ Card from American Express is also having a limited time increased offer! With this offer you can earn up to 75,000 bonus points. This is only 5,000 points less then the highest ever offer for this card, so still a great offer, especially since this is a no annual fee card. This offer expires October 4, 2017.

  • Hilton Honors™ Card from American Express: Limited Time Offer: Earn up to 75,000 bonus points – Earn 50,000 Hilton Honors™ Bonus Points after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership and an additional 25,000 Bonus Points after you make an additional $1,000 in purchases with your new Card within your first 6 months. *Terms Apply. Rates and Fees.

Card Benefits:

  • Complimentary Hilton Honors Silver elite status each year you keep the card
  • Earn Hilton Honors Gold status after you spend $20,000 in a calendar year
  • Earn 7x points at Hilton Hotels, 5x points at U.S. gas stations, supermarkets, and restaurants, and 3x points on all other purchases

What are Hilton Points Worth

Earlier this year, Hilton introduced an entirely new program. Instead of “Hilton HHonors”, they are now “Hilton Honors” and the name change came along with an entirely new redemption process. Hilton got rid of their award chart and you’ll now be charged a certain number of points depending on the price of the hotel, although it is not a fixed rate. They also introduced a points and cash option where you can pick the amount of points and cash you’d like to use based on a sliding scale for every hotel stay.

Ultimately, the 75,000 points from the welcome bonus can get you anywhere from 15 nights at a low level category to 1 free night at a high level category. And a few hotels during peak times will require even more then what the welcome bonus will give you. Remember, since this card gives you automatic status, you’ll receive your 5th night free when using points for your stay.

Below is the old reward chart that they got rid of. So the points required will not exceed the higher range amount for each category.

Amex Hilton Surpass 100K Offer

Making Money on a No Annual Fee Card!

Since this is an American Express credit card, you are able to earn a ton of statement credits throughout the year if you decide to take part in the Amex Offers promotions that I write about often. With these offers, you’ll earn ‘X statement credit, when spending Y amount’ at a participating merchant. For example, two of many offers from this past year included a $50 statement credit if you spend $250 at Neiman Marcus and a $100 statement credit when making a $500 purchase at Delta. The Amex Offers are great when it is a merchant that you’d make a purchase at anyways!

My thoughts

I absolutely LOVE no annual fee American Express credit cards. As mentioned above, I am personally able to earn a ton of statement credits with the Amex Offers that are only available to those with American Express cards. I also like that this card will you give your 5th night free on an award stay and there is no cost to you on an annual basis (since there is no annual fee).

Overall, this is a great offer for this card and worthwhile if you are looking to increase your Hilton balance. Keep in mind though that American Express typically only allows you to have 5 credit cards (not charge cards) in your name at a given time. You can learn more about this maximum here.
