Redeem Your Wyndham Rewards Points TODAY!

It looks like Wyndham is at it again and changing their program with little to no advance no notice. This change will go into affect tomorrow and Wyndham is not releasing the changes ahead of time. Of course, the changes could be for the better, but I highly doubt it. They’ve been pretty deceiving in the past, and unfortunately I just do not trust them.

Wyndham sent out a notice stating:

Wyndham Rewards Free Night stay tier levels for some Wyndham Hotel Group properties will be adjusted to reflect current market conditions on or around May 22, 2014.6 This means the point levels for individual hotels may decrease or increase. If you have any questions please call member services at 1- 866-996-7937.

Unfortunately though, member services is not able to give you any additional information. So if you were looking to redeem your points at a Wyndham hotel, I suggest making those reservations today. Of course, if the property you were looking to stay at actually goes down in points you can always re-book at the lower level (assuming it is not past the cancellation point).

For those that went ahead and purchased Wyndham Reward points Monday during the Amex Daily Getaways promotion, those points should have been deposited to your account. So you should be able to go ahead and redeem them prior to these changes taking place.

I’ll be sure to report back tomorrow with the actual changes.

Thanks to View from the Wing for notifying me of this change!
