UPDATE: It looks like they’ve updated the registration date to November 30th so you still have another month to register.  But I suggest just registering now so you don’t forget!

This is a quick reminder that Starwood’s “More for You” promotion is currently underway, but you MUST register by TODAY, October 31, 2014. Starwood is very strict with its registration deadlines and forgetting to register could cost you a lot of points! However, the good thing is Starwood does retroactively count previous stays, so if you register now, but had a stay in early October it will still count for the promotion.

Starwood's "More for You" promotion

A quick recap of the promotion:

  • Promotion runs September 15 through December 15, 2014
  • Double points on stays of 2 or more nights
  • Triple points on stays of 2 or more nights that include a Friday or Saturday stay

While this is by no means the end all be all of promotions, it is still something. And free points is better then no points. Unfortunately though, one-nighters will get you nothing.

Also, make sure to check out the hotels not participating in this promotion. While I did not go through it with a fine tooth comb, it looks like almost every hotel in Massachusetts, New York City, New Jersey, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, and Spain are excluded, which is very disappointing.

Whelp, they almost had me, but then I saw the non participating list, and of course I’m going to be in San Francisco–no go. Oh well.
