Silvercar $100 Referral Exchange

I received an email yesterday from the car rental service Silvercar about a really good promotion when referring your friends. With this service you can rent an Audi A4 at a few participating airport locations: Austin, Dallas Love Field, Dallas Fr. Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, and San Francisco. The cars are fully equiped with almost any feature you can ask for – GPS, WiFi, etc. and there is no long wait times when you get to the car rental desk.

I have never utilized Silvercar’s service so cannot speak on personal experience, but I have read numerous successful reports on the cars and service. But I have looked into their prices a bit and see that the cars can be slightly more expensive than renting from an Avis or Budget, etc.

Referral program details: For every new customer that signs up for Silvercar and rents for two days or more, the referrer will receive $100 in a Visa gift card. That is an AMAZING referral program if you ask me! And, if you get five people to sign up through your promotional link and rent for 2+ days, you’ll get an additional $500! So ultimately if you get 5 eligible people, that is $1,000 total! This ends December 31, 2014. There is also no cap to the number of referrals!

Unfortunately though, the person being referred only gets $25 in credits to use on their next Silvercar rental. I personally think the new member should receive more and the referrer less, but that it just me.

Referral exchange: Instead of posting my own referral code, I am opening up the comments section for you to post your referral code for other blog readers to use. I think this is a great way for everyone to help each other out and since I’ve never used their service I cannot really speak about their product firsthand. And you never know, maybe you’ll be a lucky reader that gets 5 people to sign up through your personal code!

Promotion terms:

$100 reward only earned upon the completion of a new customer rental of two days or more
New customers are defined as anyone that has not completed a Silvercar transaction
Qualifying transactions must be booked and started after 11/4/14 and before 12/31/14
Existing reservations that are canceled and rebooked are not considered qualifying transactions
Referral codes cannot be applied (retroactive or otherwise) to started or finished transactions

I rented them once in LAX. The car is a Compact so it can be tight if you have lots of luggage. You have to take the bus to one of the parking lot then they give you the car after scanning the barcode. Not fun if you do not have a smart phone. Returning is easy. You drive to there location and they drop you off at the airport.
