Last week, JetBlue came out with a great status match/status challenge opportunity. If you have a specific status with another airline, you can get matched to JetBlue Mosaic status through December 31, 2017. The best part is that JetBlue is actually matching those that have the Southwest Companion Pass. While I do not personally think of the companion pass as an actual status, JetBlue does! a screenshot of a white background

I was able to take a picture of my companion pass card and upload it to the JetBlue site. Within a day or two I was instantly matched to Mosaic status. While I actually do not fly JetBlue that much, the few times I do it will absolutely come in handy. My favorite part of JetBlue status is that I can make reservations with points and if I need to cancel I do not need to pay any change/cancellation fees. For those that have the Southwest Companion Pass, I personally couldn’t find anywhere on the Southwest site that stated I was a companion pass holder.

I also took the match one step further. My daughter is my companion for my companion pass. Since her name is on my pass, I figured I’d try to see if she could get matched. Unfortunately, she didn’t get approved for the match, but I’ve read a some reports of folks getting the status this way.

You can see your status on the My Account page. Right at the bottom of A-List Preferred section your Companion is listed showing that you have that status.
