I am so excited to see Southwest’s announcement that they will start flying to Turks and Caicos November 5, 2017!
Right now Southwest’s schedule only runs through November 3rd, so there is no schedule/fares available yet, but once the new schedule is extended on May 18th, I assume we’ll see the new service included. There will be non-stop flights from Ft. Lauderdale. Hopefully, they are timed appropriately to allow customers coming from other cities to catch this flight on a layover.
I’ve always wanted to go to Turks and Caicos, but have been driven away by the high cost of hotels there. With (fingers crossed) inexpensive fares and being able to use my Southwest Companion Pass, this will drive down the total vacation cost.
I am glad to see that Southwest is continuing to increase their Caribbean presence! Hopefully there will be more soon!

One would think that a professional travel blogger would know the difference between a “direct” and a “nonstop” flight, but I guess not.
I know the difference between “direct” and “nonstop”. It seems with Southwest that some “direct” flights are a stop and go model and not the traditional “deplane” and layover model. I assume this is what you are referring to.
I’ll bet that Southwest will run the “nonstop” portion of these flights from Florida if I was going to guess.
Nope. It’s May 18, the SW calendar is out through January, but T&C is not available.
In honor of this great news, I’ve actually contracted with Club Med to host an Adults Only party. Southwest having these flights makes it awesome!
This is a steal for anyone looking to go: http://www.bookheregivehere.com/adults-only-private-party.html
