Registration is now open for Starwood’s “Bring on the Nights” promotion and runs from January 5 through April 30, 2014.
With this promotion you’ll earn 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every five eligible nights you stay. You are capped at earning 10,000 points after 20 nights and if you hit 25 nights you’ll get a 5,000 points bonus. If you stay the maximum of 25 nights, you’ll earn a total of 15,000 bonus points, or 600 points per night. This is probably the worst promotion I’ve seen from Starwood, or any chain for that matter, in years. The promotion that just ended, for example, offered the same exact 5,000 bonus points for every 5 nights (capped at 10,000 points), but also gave double Starpoints for all stays.
While earning a bonus is always great, this would not make me alter my stay habit and select a Starwood hotel over another chain hotel. The one good thing is that no hotels within the chain are excluded.
You must register for this promotion by February 28, 2014.
