Southwest is offering a status match opportunity where you can receive an immediate match for three months and then potentially be extended for another 12 months. You just need to show proof that you have status with another U.S. airline. This seems to only be available to those who currently do not have A-List status.a screenshot of a credit card

With this match, you’ll receive A-List status immediately upon them processing your registration (says it will take up to 12 business days). You’ll then receive the status for three months. You can also then receive the status 12 more months after taking three roundtrips or six one-ways within those three months.

Similar to every single Southwest promotion, only new flights booked AFTER registering for the promotion count. That means any previously booked flights will NOT count, but you can always cancel your flight and re-book to qualify. Just keep in mind that the price might not be the same, so make sure that if there is a price difference it is worth it to earn the status.
