UPDATE: This offer has expired.

This is a quick post to let you all know that I successfully was approved for my second Chase Ink Plus credit card. Many folks have emailed me or commented on prior blog posts asking if they can get a second card. So I wanted to tell you about my experience.

I originally got the Chase Ink Plus a little over a year ago for Deals We Like. I had the Chase Ink Bold at the time as well (and still do), but was still able to get approved for the Plus as the products are different. There are also some expenses that I want to keep separate. At the time I applied I was approved for the MasterCard. Now, they are currently issuing Chase Ink Plus cards as Va isa (which just means you are eligible for the Visa Savings Edge perks – i.e., 1% cash back at Staples amongst many other stores!).

I actually closed my Chase Ink Plus within the past few months as I recognized that I was paying way too much on annual fees and consolidated all my Deals We Like expenses on the Chase Ink Bold card. Around the same time, Mr. Deals and I started getting into real estate and purchased our first investment property which we currently have rented out. With that came a bunch of initial and ongoing expenses. While we have not officially formed our LLC yet, we absolutely plan on making it a legal business. With the current bonus offer for the Chase Ink Plus card I figured now was a great time to get a business card for this business. Since I do not have a registered business, I just used my Social Security number and “Sole Proprietorship” on the application form. After an initial “Application Pending” status and a conversation with Chase I was approved.

You bought investment property outside of a LLC… I hope you don’t get sued before forming said LLC then. I doubt the other party will accept miles as a form of payment.

Once you recieved the “status pending” reply from Chase, how long did you wait before calling them?
