The discount online hotel reservation site Travel Pony is offering $50 off a hotel stay of $300 or more. To get this extra savings, use promotion code MIDNIGHT50 at checkout. This offer is valid until 1am PT April 20, 2015, so really end of day today (April 19th). If you are not yet a member, make sure to first sign up through a referral link so you can get a $35 credit towards your next $200+ reservation, although it cannot be combined with the $50 off code – my referral link but feel free to post your own in the comments section.

Screen Shot 2015-04-19 at 1.35.20 PMThe good part about this promotion is that this is on top of the already discounted rooms. Remember, you can always use the TPSAVINGS which is the standing offer code to get an additional 10%-45% off the rate listed. This code can be used in combination with the $50 off code MIDNIGHT50.

Also remember, if you have a hotel room previously booked and you haven’t gone past the cancellation policy, cancel and rebook.

My experience: Last Fall I booked a two night stay at The Palazzo in Las Vegas for a total of $258.20 after taxes. That same reservation would cost $428.56 through the hotel site directly! For that particular scenario, Jetsetter was also more expensive. I tried a bunch of codes with the hotel site on the IHG website to get a lower reservation rate and none were accepted, so TravelPony saved me about $170! I did not, however, receive the points, so keep that in mind. Related blog post

TravelPony also launched an app where every city has one hotel on sale every day. The promotion code MIDNIGHT50 can also be used on the app to get an even great savings!

Always make sure that you are getting the best possible rate when booking a hotel reservations! Some pricing will be better, where some will not. Overall, I’ve seen very favorable pricing.
