Hyatt is offering a cardmember exclusive promotion where if you redeem your Hyatt points for the month of August or September, you’ll receive a 10% rebate. This includes using your points for free night stays, Points + Cash stays, and room upgrades. It also includes using points for dining and spa services! You must have a checkout date of September 30 or prior to receive the 10% rebate.Â
You must register for this promotion by August 31st to qualify and you’ll receive the points back within 6-8 weeks after your stay. The great thing about this promotion is that already booked stays qualify, so you do not need to cancel and rebook. For those staying on an award redemption late this summer, this is a great way to stay for less points!
If you are not currently a Hyatt credit card holder, you can still take advantage of this promotion! New applicants who are able to register by the August 31st date will qualify as well! You can learn more about the new Hyatt credit card 60,000 point offer and benefits in this prior blog post.

When I read the terms, it was tough to tell whether pre-existing reservations would count or not. But, you sound pretty confident. I guess I’m just double checking.
@Mark – The exact message from the Hyatt PR team includes: “This also applies to existing reservations already booked during this timeframe, as long as cardmembers register for the promotion by August 31, 2018.”
Thanks for the heads up! Nice to see a post of interest rather than a “see me” post
Thanks!!
Do guest of honor bookings count?
I have a week-long award stay starting July 31. If I apply and get approved for the credit card now, will I get the points back on this stay? Will only the first night be excluded (because that night is prior to August) or the entire stay excluded (because it starts in July)?
