Utilize Jetsetter $75 off deal in NYC (starting at $127/night!)

Remember my post this morning that mentioned that through tomorrow you could $75 off a Jetsetter hotel reservations on a 1 night hotel stay? Well… at 3pm EST every day, Jetsetter releases their new “Flash Sales” of the day. Today’s includes The Alex Hotel in New York City (on 45th and 3rd). The hotel rate ranges from $205-$265 on most days, but there are a few days scattered around where you can get it for $165, $175, or $182/night, which is great even without a $75 off discounted code!! The qualifying dates are between October 28, 2012 and March 14, 2013.

The week of Christmas is actually extremely inexpensive with rates around $179/night. After you tack on $40 in taxes, but subtract the $75 credit, you are looking at a $144/night stay in NYC – pretty unheard of actually. Keep in mind though that this is a pre-paid rate and cancellations are not allowed. Also, rates can sell out.

While I personally know nothing about The Alex hotel, it received good reviews on TripAdvisor and is in a great location of the city. Centrally located and close to Grand Central for easy train access. Also, walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc.

This is just one example of how the $75 Jetsetter code can be used from the deal I blogged about this morning. Has anyone found any Jetsetter rates that they’ve found worthwhile?

I work right near the Alex. We often have visitors stay there since it is close to our office. I’ve toured the property and rooms and it is a well-kept, generally well-run hotel.

That being said, I wouldn’t say the location is “great”. Its basically on 45th and 3rd, which is close to grand central, but still very midtown Manhattan, not necessarily the most fun place to stay in NYC. I guess if its your first time here and you want to see times square, it might make sense, but otherwise, its much nicer staying below 23rd street.
