The Iceland based low-cost carrier, WOW Air, is expanding their service to Miami. This will be the 6th US destination (including Boston, Baltimore, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco). This is a nice inexpensive way for those that live in the South to get to Iceland or other cities throughout Europe with a connection in Iceland.  This service will start in April 2017 and prices starting at only $99 one way (or $149 to other connecting cities)!

With this new service, you’ll  be able to fly to Iceland 3x a week as well as connect to London (LGW), Paris (CDG), Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (SXF), Frankfurt (FRA), Dublin (DUB), and Copenhagen (CPH). Hopefully this will bring cheap fares to not only Iceland but the rest of Europe!

I personally flew WOW Air from Boston to Reykjavik, Iceland in exactly a year ago and had a great experience! While they do charge extra for checked bags, oversized carry on luggage, and seat assignment, if you pack light and do not care where you sit for the 10 hour flight you shouldn’t experience any extra costs. Even if you do need to pay some extra, the cheap fare makes up for it! You can read my review here.
