For a limited time, you can take an Uber for a FLAT $10 per ride. The locations include anywhere within Manhattan as long as it is south of 96th street. This means your start and end must be within this location.
The $10 rides is for uberPOOL pick ups only which means there is a chance the driver might pick up somewhere else along the route. I’ve written about uberPOOL in the past, but with it you can request a ride for up to a maximum of 2 riders per pickup. You will then be matched (possibly) with other people requesting a ride and there can be up to four passengers in the car total. I’ve used it before and have always had a good experience. I’ve also met some interested passengers to chat with. Even if they do not match you with another passenger, the ride is still $10 for this particular promotion!
Referral links to get free rides: If you are new to Uber you can get a free ride up to $20. Feel free to leave your own Uber referral code in the comments section below.

got excited when i saw the title, only to be let down when i see its for carpooling. why would anyone want to pay $10 for carpooling when they can get $10 via gett
@al – agree vs. via but remember via doesn’t run 24/7. I’ve also used uberpool a bunch and typically am by paired up with another passenger
not via. gett. http://therewardboss.com/2015/06/10/gett-10-rides-are-back-south-of-110th-st-nyc/
@Al – Yes, but many people complain about not being able to get a Gett (although I’ve never had an issue).
july – dec 2014 it was near impossible to land one. the past 2 weeks have been great. sure it takes a few tries, but i get one now! their driver base near doubled and now they have 2,400 drivers in manhattan. last night, raining in manhattan, got one no prob. meanwhile, lyft and uber was surging like crazy. gett’s gotta be hemmorahging money in NYC tho. thankfully, it’s international operations are keeping the company afloat.
