Amazon just came out with another promotion where you can earn an easy $20 free towards a future purchase. The only caveat is that you must have an American Express credit card. Unlike many other Amazon promotions, this does not seem to be a targeted offer, which is great!
With this promotion, just make a $50 purchase on Amazon with your American Express credit card and you’ll receive a $20 credit to use towards a future purchase. This promotion runs through July 22, 2020 and the promotion credit needs to be used by August 22, 2020.

This offer can even be combined with the American Express Membership Reward promotion where if you use just 1 point towards your purchase you’ll receive an additional discount. As long as you put $50 on your Amex credit card, you’ll still receive the $20 credit.
Even if you do not have a purchase to make through Amazon right now, you can always purchase a third-party merchant gift card. Amazon gift cards will not apply, but Amazon sells many other gift cards such as Uber, Nordstrom and Lowe’s.
Also remember, Amazon’s big summer sale just kicked off, so there are some deals to take advantage of, while also triggering the extra $20 credit.

For those that shop at Amazon often and hold an American Express credit card, this is another great way to get some free money at Amazon. Enjoy the extra bonus!

You missed this important caveat
Thanks for the heads up. Third party gift cards seem to be sold by ACI Gift Cards, Inc., not my Amazon or Amazon Digital Services, so I don’t think they’ll qualify.
Do you know if ACI gift cards are considered Amazon for the purposes of receiving this $20 promo? TIA
@Bill – The terms make it seem like it is.
