Rene Points just wrote about a targeted offer that his wife received although it seems like anyone with a valid Delta SkyMiles number is able to register. The offer will give you 1,000 bonus miles when earning miles with any participating non-airline partner, up to 25,000 miles. This promotion takes place between February 1 and April 30, 2017. Now, even though it let me register mine and my family members Delta account, this does not mean those not targeted will receive their bonus miles. To register for this promotion, go here and enter your Delta SkyMiles number at the end of the URL.
I’d probably only chase this promotion if you were going to earn miles with Delta partners anyways, especially until we have some data points if non-targeted accounts are receiving the bonus miles. Even if this promotion still works out, it most likely still isn’t worth paying for something you were not going to pay for otherwise for the miles, since it is only 1,000 per transaction.
Non-airline partners include: Credit Card Partners, Hotels, Car Rental, Limo & Shuttle, Cruises and Vacations, Dining, Retail and Specialty, Financial Partners and Home Entertainment & Wireless. You can see a list of every partner in each category here.
