American Express is currently offering up to a 30% bonus for transferring your Membership Reward points to your JetBlue account. Unfortunately though this is a targeted offer and folks are receiving anywhere between a 20% to 30% bonus. This offer goes through March 25, 2018.a screenshot of a website

Typically, American Express Membership Reward points do not transfer at a 1:1 ratio, but instead 250 American Express Membership Reward points = 200 JetBlue points. That means only with the 30% bonus will you receive better then a 1:1 transfer ratio. Using your American Express Membership Reward points towards JetBlue flights is probably not the best redemption, even with the bonus taken into consideration, but if JetBlue is your airline of choice is it not a bad time to transfer your points. You might get a slightly better value with using your points with another partner airline, but it really just depends on how you like to use your points.

Unfortunately though, when transferring your points to JetBlue you’ll get hit with a fee. This is one of my least favorite aspects of the American Express Membership Reward program. You will be charged $0.0006 per point, with a maximum of $99 per transfer. This fee is only for transfers to domestic airlines and you will not be hit with this fee if you were to transfer to an international airline instead.

You’ll have to sign into your American Express Membership Rewards account to see if you were targeted. You can go to “Rewards –> Membership Rewards Home –> Transfer Points” to see your bonus offer.
