75,000 Bonus Point Offer for The Business Gold Rewards Card® from American Express OPEN

UPDATE: This offer has expired.

Last week there was an extremely limited time frame (maybe 20 hours or so) to apply for the Business Gold Rewards Card® from American Express OPEN with a 75,000 point offer with only $5,000 minimum spend in the first three months. There was clearly some issue with that offer not supposed to be publicized like it was and it was pulled quickly. For those of you who were able to get on this credit card promotion, congrats – it is definitely the best offer we’ve seen for this card in awhile. While the number of bonus points earned comes along often enough in short limited time deals, the minimum spend requires $10,000 in the first four months which is very hard for some people to meet.

Well, the good news is that this offer is back, but with the $10,000 minimum spend. Still a great offer, and you can read more about the card, the pros, and the cons in this prior blog post. Just remember there is still a 50,000 point offer out there and available, so when applying ensure the marketing banner states “Limited-Time Offer: Get 75,000 points after you spend $10,000 on the card in your first 4 months of Card membership.” The offer also states that it is valid only May 14, May 15, May 16, and May 17th.

While I really like Membership Reward points for the British Airways Avios points transfer option (and the fact that there are many time great transfer bonus offers), I am more of a Chase Ultimate Rewards fan. I prefer being able to utilize those points for more partners, such as Hyatt, United, and British Airways. I feel as they give me more flexibility. I also earn Amex Membership Rewards points through my work credit card, so having a Chase Ultimate Rewards credit card to earn points in that program allows me to have full flexibility.

Last week I also posted my top favorite credit card bonuses, so you can check out how this card compares to the others that I also highly recommend.

@Sleazy – This is not one of my links, just a good public offer!

Don’t you get that this deal has already been beat to death by the bloggers? Even one of your own wrote a post about how it was overblown.

@Thomas – This is a new promotion that was just launched, separate from last week’s promo.

I signed up for the 75k rewards with $5k spending of the AmEx Biz Gold. My wife and I have 2 separate amazon payment accounts. Do you think I can issue her an extension card and do Amazon payments on both accounts so we’ll $1k each spending on each account or $2k a month, but using the same AmEx account. I am just afraid that it might trigger a review or something with Amazon, or there’s a policy I might breach.
