Earlier this morning I posted that Amazon is offering a $8.62 coupon code (although it really comes out to $8.63 on the checkout page) for every single Amazon account and the best thing about this offer is that you do not have to have an Amazon Prime account! There are two stipulations: 1) Your card must total $50 or more for the coupon code to apply, and 2) The item(s) must be fulfilled by Amazon. This is a one day only offer and I highly suggest taking advantage even if there aren’t any products on Amazon you are actually looking to purchase! The reason for this is that gift cards sold by Amazon are eligible! Amazon.com gift cards do not work.
For those unaware, Amazon sells a ton of other merchants gift cards. While I cannot feasibly list them all on this site, you can view/search all merchant gift cards here. I assume that there are well over 1,500 possible merchants and I have to believe there is some merchant that you’ll visit within the next month anyways where you can take advantage of the discounted gift card! Because of this offer, a $50 gift card will cost you $41.37. That is a 17.26% discount on your $50 gift card purchase. While you can always find ways to purchase gift cards at a discount, it is rare to find a way that is so easily accessible for everyone where you do not have to leave your house and includes a ton of options.

- Shop at Amazon.com and add $50 worth of products to your shopping cart. Remember, the items must be fulfilled by Amazon. As I mentioned above, many merchant gift cards work as well, so you can go ahead and search for merchant gift cards here.
- On the check out page, enter the promotion code BIGTHANKS. This is not a targeted promotion, so everyone should be eligible!
- You will see the $8.63 taken off on the right-hand side displaying your total amount. Purchase a $50 item/gift card and that is a $17.26% discount.

I tried using the code yesterday and it wouldn’t work… Seems not only does the order have to be FULFILLED by Amazon, but everything has to be SOLD by Amazon too…
