Hilton just announced their first promotion in 2019 and it is actually a really good one. What I like about this promotion is that you’ll earn points on every single stay, (there is no cap, yay!) and it starts right after Hilton’s current promotion ends — there is only a one day gap between promotions so you are always earning some bonus during your Hilton stays! This promotion is for stays between January 4 and May 5, 2019. Combine this with the increased number of points you earn from using your Hilton credit card and you are looking at a good amount of points per stay to use at a future time towards a free vacation!
Promotion Details:
- Earn 2,000 bonus points with every single stay. If you value Hilton points at around half a cent per point, that means you are earning around a $10 bonus with every stay.
- Plus, earn 10,000 bonus points for every 5th stay OR 10th night completed. With the same valuation, this means you are earning around a $50 bonus one you complete the 5 stays/10 nights.
This is great for those who have one night stays as the 2,000 bonus points is awarded per stay and not per night. Unlike many other chain hotel promotions, they aren’t requiring you to complete a 2+ night stay to earn the points, a 1 night stay will still earn you the bonus points! This is one of those promotions that definitely encourages mattress runs!
This would be a great promotion for my husband, for example, as he usually is in and out of a city during business travel after just one night in a hotel. Let’s say you have 15 one-night stays during this promotion, that would earn you 70,000 bonus points, which is pretty good!
Just remember to register for the promotion PROIR to checking out of your hotel stay. As of right now, this is one of the better promotions compared to the other hotel chains. Fingers crossed for some good hotel promotions in 2019!
