I am going to make this quick and I suggest you book quick as this fare can be pulled at anytime. You can currently fly from Norway to the United States (MANY CITIES) for around $500 roundtrip in BUSINESS CLASS. This is an unbelievable fare with flights operated on American, British Airways, Finnair, and Iberia – the route and operating airline depends on your route. I did a quick search for Norway to JFK and saw a flight for $533. I know there are fares out there as low as $450 based on the FlyerTalk thread discussing this deal (which I suggest checking out if you are interesting in this fare). When searching the fares make sure to change your search result to a business class seat.
Also, depending on how you value business class seats, this could be an opportunity to use miles for a flight to Norway and this deal for the return. Even though it is a roundtrip ticket you can always just not use the return portion back to Norway. The fares seem to be available between September 2015 and June 2016.
How to book: You can book this through American Airlines directly, or a third party reservation system like Orbitz and Priceline. If you book with American you cannot cancel with no fee, where as the other two you have 24 hours + to cancel (Priceline is up until 11:29pm ET the day after you purchase, and Orbitz is 11pm ET the day after you purchase). While American lets you put a flight on hold for 24 hours, I’d not assume they will allow you to ticket it tomorrow if this is some sort of error that they will end up honoring.

Today WSJ has the article, “New Sources of Cheap Fares to Europe”, written by Scott McCartney. The trend is for airlines to use secondary airports, aka Providence, for trans-Atlantic flights. Fly Condor Airlines, instead of Lufthansa from Boston, saves over a $1000 on a coach seat and slightly over 83% on a business class fare. IMHO, the main negative is that Condor schedules only two flights a week.
According to the article, Lufthansa is setting up a no frill discount airlines with initial trans-Atlantic flights next year.
I had my reservation on hold with AA since yesterday morning and just purchased. AA honored without a problem.
Altough I am not really interested in Oslo, I am going to Italy and will have to fly from MXP to OSL and I will most likely not use my return leg of the trip, a one way business for around $600 still was a very decent deal.
