Even though it seems like the deals have been flying in all week, Black Friday is officially here. And if there’s one place you won’t want to miss, it’s Amazon’s Black Friday sales. There’s also a good chance that new deals will pop up (and expire) over the next few days through Cyber Monday. But before you go shopping, you’ll want to make sure to read this ultimate guide to stack your savings. In fact, you can get as much as 50% off your purchase just by using the right credit card.

How to Get Amazon Prime

You absolutely do not need Amazon Prime to shop at Amazon, but some deals will be limited to those with a prime membership. You’ll also receive free shipping, where some items will only ship for free if you meet a certain spend threshold. If you do not have a Prime membership, your best bet is to sign up for a free trial as it will give you 30 days of free prime access. Also, if you happen to have a student e-mail address, you can get a Student Amazon Prime membership at a significant discount, still with a free 3-month trial membership.

Black Friday Deals

You can find many Amazon deals today, but here are some of my personal favorites:

Apple AirTag 4 Pack

Sale price: $72.99; Regular price: $99 (26% off)

At about $18.25 per tag, the Apple AirTags are a must have while traveling. I throw them into all my bags to help track them just in case a bag gets lost or goes missing.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 Wireless Earbuds

Pricing at an all time low, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 are by far my favorite earbuds while traveling. They are incredibly comfortable, allowing me to even sleep on the plane.

Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Headphones

Sale price: $199; Regular price: $349 (43% off)

The Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Headphones are some of the most popular headphones on the market. Coming in 7 different sleek color options, these headphones offer up to 24 hours of battery life. And with the noise cancelling capability, you can drown out all the noise around you. I also have these headphones and they work incredibly well.

At an all-time low, you can snag the Apple iPad (1oth Generation) for less than $250. However, this iPad is selling out quickly, so keep on checking back if it’s not available.

I swear by packing cubes. They are life changing when it comes to packing, and fortunately, you don’t have to spend a lot of money. I own a few different brands and the Amazon Basics Packing Cubes are some of the best.

Anker PowerCore 10K Portable Charger

Sale price: $17.99; Regular price: $23.99 (25% discount)

If you’re on the go, a portable charger is a necessity — especially in my life. The Anker PowerCore 10K is the one I’ve had for awhile and it came in extremely handy during my recent trip to Disney. In fact, it allowed me to fully charge my phone twice, which was much needed. It’s lightweight and compact.

Apple 2024 MacBook Air 13″ Laptop

Sale price: $844; Regular price: $1,099 (23% discount)

Being sold at the lowest price ever, this Apple 2024 MacBook Air 13″ is a a great deal.

Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer Spray — 3-Pack

Sale price: $30; Regular price: $21 (30% off)

If you have a tween or teen in your house, the Touchland Hand Sanitizer Spray is the perfect holiday gift to throw into the mix. While these are expensive to begin with, the 30% discount helps. There’s also many different scents on sale.

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask

My daughter has been begging me for some Laneige products, so this is the perfect time to pull the trigger on the LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask at 20% off. There’s actually many items on sale from this brand, including the LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm

BISSELL Little Green Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner

Sale price: $81.49; Regular price: $123.59 (34% off)

The BISSELL Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is one of my favorite household items. I purchased it during a Black Friday deal a few years ago and it truly keeps my carpet and sofa looking as good as new.

Stack your Savings

In addition to the Black Friday deals, you can stack your savings by using some bonus offers.

Enhanced Prime Card Welcome Offer

The Amazon Prime Card is offering an increased welcome offer where you’ll earn a $200 Amazon Gift card immediately upon approval. If you’ve been meaning to apply for this credit card, you can immediately use your gift card to towards your Black Friday purchase.

Activate your Amex Offers

If you have an American Express Membership Rewards earning credit card, check your Amex Offers to see if you’re targeted for a bonus offer. If so, this is a great opportunity to earn extra Membership Reward points for your purchase. I know there are many offers out there, but I was personally targeted for the ‘Spend $150, earn 1,200 Membership Reward points’ offer.

Tip: Only 100 Amex Offers will appear at a time. This means you’ll want to keep on adding offers to your card for more to pop up (you’ll have to sign out and sign back in for more to appear).

Use your American Express points

If you are an Amex Membership Reward cardmember, you might be in luck! Currently, Amazon is offering a promotion where you can receive up to 50% off your purchase. This is a targeted offer, so you’ll have to check your account to see if you’re eligible. You also might find a different offer as well. For example, I was targeted only for a 40% off offer, up to $40 in savings. To take advantage of this offer, you only need to use 1 point (although some accounts might require 714 points).

You’ll want to make sure your American Express card is first linked to your Amazon account. You can then check to see your offer here.

Use your Discover points

With Discover’s “Shop with Points” program, you can receive up to a 40% discount by using your Discover Cash back to pay for part of your Amazon purchase. This is a targeted offer, with the highest savings being a 40% discount, up to $50 in savings.

To see if you’re targeted for this offer, you’ll need to first add your Discover credit card to your Amazon account. If eligible, you just need to apply one cent to your purchase. Also, only items sold and shipped by Amazon qualify.

Use your Chase points

Similar to American Express, Chase is also offering a promotion to save money at Amazon, but it’s not as widely available. Targeted cardmembers can receive up to 50% off. The only difference from the Amex promotion is that you must use 500 points, instead of a single point. I personally received a 30% off, up to $15 in savings.

You’ll want to make sure your Chase Ultimate Reward card is first linked to your Amazon account. You can then check to see your offer here.
