Just yesterday I put together a list of all the ways to save money on upcoming hotel stays with Amex Offers. It looks like today another one was added to the list — spend $200 or more at Marriott, receive a $40 statement credit.

Typically, Amex Offers are targeted, but Frequent Miler is reporting a direct link to register for this offer. Unfortunately, you can still only register one card, but at least you can pick the specific Amex card you want to register if you are not eligible through your AmericanExpress.com account.

With this offer, all Marriott properties within the US and US territories qualify and it is not limited to a certain brand within the umbrella, which is great. Unfortunately though, for those traveling internationally this summer, you might not be able to take advantage.

Even if you are using points for an upcoming stay, you can alway take advantage of this offer on any incidentals. Just charge everything to your hotel room and if you end up spending $200 or more, this will save you $40 on all extras — restaurants, activities, room service, etc.

The Frequent Miler link is for AMEX connect, where you can also register a 3rd party AMEX card (like WF Propel). Should be able do that and separately add the offer to the SPG, ahem, Bonvoy cards through the regular Amex cardmemeber site.
