Last chance for a $20 savings at Amazon for back to school shopping!

Amazon is truly hitting it out of the park right now with their many money-saving offers. In addition to their up to $50 savings for American Express Membership Reward cardholders promotion, they recently launched another offer where you can save $20 specifically for your back to school shopping needs. Unfortunately though, this offer is about to come to an end of Aug 30, 2020 so you’ll want to stock up on your back-to-school shopping now.

With this promotion, if you spend $50 or more, you’ll receive a $20 discount as long as you apply just 1 Amex Membership Reward point towards your purchase. You must first activate the promotion for the savings to apply.

Steps to save money with Amazon:

• If you haven’t already linked your American Express card to your Amazon account, you can do that here.
• Activate the offer in your Amazon account
• Shop the eligible Amazon school products here to receive your savings.
• On the payment page, select your linked Membership Rewards earning credit card. At the bottom of the payment page you’ll see all your linked accounts where you can use points (Chase and Amex). Select your American Express Membership Rewards Points account and enter the number of points you want to use towards your purchase. Since I do not like redeeming my points at Amazon (due to the low redemption value), I entered just 1 cent which means 1 point will be applied. For the promotion to apply, the minimum amount required is only 1 point! Do not do full points as it is not a good value!

• On the checkout page, you’ll see the 1 point applied and the $20 discount automatically applied. No promotion code needed!
