UPDATE: This offer has expired.
For a limited time Chase has upped the sign up bonus for the Chase Ink Bold, Chase Ink Plus, Chase Ink Cash and Chase Ink Classic credit cards!
For the Chase Ink Bold and Chase Ink Plus, the promotional offer is 60,000 points after you spend $5,000 within the first three months. Typically, this offer has been 50,000 points after you spend $5,000 within the first three months. This is a 10,000 point increase which is worth $100 at a bare minimum (although I’d really value 10,000 points at about $200).
The Chase Ink Cash and Chase Ink Classic promotional offer is 25,000 points after you spend $3,000 within first three months, which is 5,000 points more than the existing offer of 20,000 points. This 5,000 point increase is worth $50, although as I’ll explain in more detail, if you transfer the points earned on this card to the Chase Ink Bold, Ink Plus, or Sapphire Preferred, those 5,000 points can be valued at about $100.
As you can see this 20-25% increase for the sign up offer on these four cards is pretty significant if you were already considering getting one (or more) of these credit cards. This special promotion will go through June 22, 2013 and the Ink Bold and Ink Plus offers are the best we’ve seen in a really really long time. I personally have the Chase Ink Bold card (as well as Mr. Deals) and due to this promotion will most likely apply for the Chase Ink Plus card as well. The Chase Ink Bold card has become one of my go-to cards and is primarily used for spend at office supply stores and to pay my internet/cable bill – I get 5x points on all these purchases (all Chase Ink cards gets this bonus on these purchases). I personally love that the points earned from the Ink Bold and Ink Plus credit cards can be transferred to Hyatt, United, and British Airways at a 1:1 ratio is HUGE! There are more partners as well, but those are the top three in value in my opinion (you can read more about all the the airline and hotel partners here). For points earned on the Ink Cash and Ink Classic the best redemption value is cash back, however, if you have an Ink Bold, Ink Plus, or Sapphire Preferred card you can transfer your points to one of those card accounts and then transfer those points to a loyalty partner.
While this is going to be a quick post to let you all know of this increased limited time bonus, I will write a more detailed post for tomorrow on the in’s and out’s of this card. In the meantime, you can also check out my Chase Ultimate Reward blog series as these four cards earn Ultimate Reward points.
