Starting at 12pm ET today, you can book a JetBlue flight through September 7, 2015. While most larger airlines allow you to book travel 330 days in advance, JetBue extends their reservations systems a few months at a time. This means you can go ahead and book for next Summer! Up until this point, you could only book through June 17, 2015.
I know booking this far ahead of time is nerve racking as you do not want to book a flight and then have to change or cancel it. However, if you are concerned that the price of your ticket might go down in price, JetBlue allows you to book now and get a credit if that happens within 14 days of booking. This is a new policy – in the past you could actually get a credit for the price difference at any point up until the flight departed. But, some price assurance is better than nothing.
So if you book a flight now and within two weeks notice the fare went down in price, make sure to call JetBlue immediately. You will receive the fare difference back in the form of a credit to use within one year from the date the flight was purchased. This credit is transferable so it can always be gifted to a friend or family member for a future flight. You can learn more about this updated JetBlue policy here.
Also remember, if you have JetBlue’s Mosaic status, you can always cancel a flight for no fee. So if the price goes down post the 14 day mark and you have this status, you can always cancel your flight and then rebook with the credit you received.
Happy booking!
