Boosting Credit Card Rewards with Shopping Offers and Category Bonuses – My FTU Presentation

This post may contain affiliate links from our advertising partners. Read my Advertiser Disclosure policy here. Additionally, some of the offers on this page may no longer be available through Deals We Like.

This weekend I was at Frequent Traveler University in Chicago, which was a ton of fun! I spoke at one of the Travel Expo sessions on “Boosting Credit Card Rewards with Shopping Offers and Category Bonuses.” Many folks that attended my session asked if they could receive the slides so here I am publishing them for everyone to see! While the slides aren’t nearly as detailed as my presentation since there is no commentary, you should still be able to get some good information from it as well as links to more detailed posts. Download the presentation here: FTU 2017_BoostingCreditCardRewards

Ultimately, this presentation hits on three different topics:

  • Statement credit offers (i.e., Amex Offers, Chase Offers, etc.)
  • Credit card quarterly bonus offers (i.e., Chase Freedom, etc.)
  • Best credit card to use per spend category (i.e., best credit card for gas purchases, groceries, restaurants, travel, etc.)

Feel free to comment below if you have any questions! It was great getting to meet many of you and I hope you all enjoyed my presentation and the conference in general.

Thanks! I never even knew about the SLATE rewards; my wife has that card (no annual fee). Will pay attention more.
