Amazon just announced that Prime members will get early access to some of their best deals! If you are a avid Amazon shopper, you are probably well aware of their “lightning deals” which offers limited-time deals. These deals are available throughout the day and typically sell out quickly. Well, Prime members will now be able to get access to these deals 30 minutes prior to non-Prime members. This is actually a huge advantage for those that seek out those limited time offers.
Keep in mind though only select deals are available 30 minutes early. They are labeled “Prime Early Access Deal”.  The great thing about this is you can check to see all upcoming deals and if there is one of interest you can make sure you are at your computer right before the deal goes on sale. Unfortunately though, it doesn’t give you the price ahead of time to allow you to do a full competitors analysis. You can check all current and upcoming Lightning Deals here.Â
With Black Friday and Cyber Monday approaching, I am sure we will see some great deals over the next few months! I know many people do there holiday shopping at Amazon, so this is one more way to get a great deal! Last year during the Thanksgiving time period, I was able to purchase a drop cam for more than half off during a lightening sale!
If you are not currently an Amazon Prime member, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial here. (Just make sure to time it right when you are going to be making a bulk of your purchases).  Also, if you are an Amazon Prime member you can share your membership with up to four people at no additional cost! So while $99/year can be expensive, if you split the cost amongst 5 of you, $20 each for the year is money well spent! Only the primary member though gets some of the benefits, such as Amazon Mom.

You don’t necessarily have to spend $99 for a membership. If someone in your family is a student, put their name first and pay the student rate of $49.
@Karen – That’s correct! And students can get a 6 month free trial as well.
