Another post by Mr. Deals…

Yes, those words came out of Mrs. Deals mouth last night. Right after a friend of ours employed Mrs. Deals to help him book some travel and ended up saving him over $200. Without doing the math, I think that she saved him well more than 15%, so Geico you better watch out. I must admit, I was pretty impressed (and so was our friend)!

After over a year of Mrs. Deals blogging, word has gotten out in our social group about her travel knowledge. Mrs. Deals is now being asked by everyone which card to use, the best flight options for an upcoming trip, or what hotel they should consider for certain destinations. What’s funny is how excited Mrs. Deals gets in these instances. Last night even, a friend was proactively asking her about the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. The next thing I know I had to hear about this card for the next 10 30 minutes – story of my life! I was even asked to take out my card to show the friend how cool the card looked. Now I am being used as a prop! Ultimately, he was sold on getting the card just from the weight of it.

So here’s the problem now. All of our friends are starting to use Mrs. Deals the way I use Mrs. Deals. I think I’m starting to feel a little cheated on. I’d be lying if I said I am not a little worried about this. I mean she can’t be slacking on the services she provides to her number 1 fan, Mr. Deals. Who else is going to tell me which credit card to use? Mr. Deals has work travel and vacations that need to be booked and needs her full attention! After last night I realized that I will need to learn how to be one of the masses asking Mrs. Deals for advice. I understand that every group of friends needs a Mrs. Deals, but now I have to constantly listen to my friends bragging about my wife. I guess it could be worse! However, I was pointed out the positive things here – now my friends will be able to afford to go on vacation with us! Not too shabby. I guess I will go ahead and market her services around like no other, the more the merrier, right?!

To all of you fathers out there, happy fathers day! Make sure you teach your kids about points/miles at an early age. It will afford them better travel scenarios when they get older. And hopefully keep them from reaching deep into your pockets!

Happy fathers day! I too have begun seeding my little one about miles & points. She’s already asking about her points total. Lol
