I woke up this morning to an amazing offer on my existing JetBlue Plus credit card. I’ve been a cardmember for a few years, but it is a card I actually hardly use as I earn more points on many other cards I have in my wallet. Truthfully, it is a card I considered canceling as I do not use the benefits much and my husband has the card — and has also been a Mosaic member for many years — so my family reaps the benefits already.

But, this offer will definitely keep me as a card member…. for now at least.

Targeted card members can earn up to 60,000 bonus points between Nov. 10 and Jan. 31, 2021.

  • Earn up to 10,000 bonus points: Earn an additional 10 points for every $1 spent on purchases, up to 10,000 points. This means just $1,000 in purchases to maximize the bonus. (This is in addition to the points you’ll earn anyways)
  • Earn 50,000 bonus points: Spend $3,000 on the card and earn 50,000 bonus points.

Ultimately, spend just $3,000 on your card over the next two and a half months and an extra 60,000 bonus points is yours. While this isn’t as good as the 100,000 point bonus offer for new sign-ups, this particular offer doesn’t require you to apply for another credit card.

And if you are having a hard time spending those last few dollars, you can consider paying your rent or mortgage via Plastiq. Since this is a Barclaycard, those payments are allowed.

I will personally be using my JetBlue plus card for the next few months to hit that $3,000 spend. Earning an extra 60,000 JetBlue points is huge and worth approximately $800 towards JetBlue travel. Even though I am not flying now due to COVID-19, these points will come in quite handy when we are ready to fly again.

So if you have this card, make sure to check your email and figure out if you are able to maximize this promotion. Or, if you have other travel rewards credit card, continue to open up those emails as some fabulous offers have been coming out to get you to spend more on your credit card. There is a promotion for legacy Hyatt card members to earn a free night certificate and also a sweet offer for those with the American Airlines Advantage Aviator Silver MasterCard to earn 30,000 bonus points. Also, the Frequent Miler has a list of offers that they are continuously updating.

With many promotions being offered by the banks, this is a great time to increase your account balance with very little effort. Enjoy your extra points!
