To coincide with the Southwest schedule extension, many new routes were also announced which will start November 4, 2018. There are many new opportunities to fly to more destinations, which should put some smiles on loyal Southwest fliers. These new routes include:
New New York LaGuardia Routes:
- New York (LGA) to New Orleans
- New York (LGA) to West Palm Beach, Florida (Saturday only service starting November 10, 2018)
- New York (LGA) to Orlando, Florida
New Washington DC (DCA) Routes:
- Washington DC (DCA) to Oklahoma City
New San Jose, California Routes:
- San Jose, California to Tucson, Arizona
New Burbank Routes:
- Burbank to Houston (Hobby)
- Burbank to Chicago (Midway)
New Denver Routes:
- Denver to Lubbock, Texas
- Denver to El Paso
New Chicago Routes:
- Chicago (Midway) to Cabo San Lucas
Overall, this is great news for those on the two coasts – New York and Chicago and then California and Denver. And Chicago is pretty lucky to get another beach resort destination added to the list for a non-stop flight! If you are looking to fly during peak times, definitely book now! Remember, Southwest does not charge change or cancelation fees.

And BDL-STL! Surely this is the one everyone is most excited about, right? No? Just me?
Your post says
New Chicago Routes:
Denver (Midway) to Cabo San Lucas
I’m assuming you meant to say “Chicago (Midway)”, but realize this could also have been Denver to Cabo San Lucas.
@Mark – It is Chicago, not Denver. I updated the post.
There is a typo here:
“New Chicago Routes:
Denver (Midway) to Cabo San Lucas”
@M – Thanks, it is Chicago (not Denver)
